We are sure that you had countless times thinking what the options are of changing cs:go launch options or fps commands cs go that can be used to run the game at a higher efficiency.

So, we have created this article that is the summary of all the knowledge and experience we have found on the internet and if you want to change your joy of the game - it will definitely be your must-have list of commands for CS:GO.

At the end of the day, we hope that it can change your graphics settings, console commands, set launch options, so use this list which is the bible of cs:go and allows you to run at a higher level the cs:go console commands.

If you don't use starting commands in CS:GO, your game can perform much slower. With some parameters or commands, your FPS can rise. So if you're tired of losing FPS, ping, or you are wondering how you can play better - this article will be useful for you.

How to set launch options

Starting parameters are nothing more than the settings with which our game is run.  Most of the best cs:go commands can be set directly in the game, but some of them can be modified during the program activation and those are launch options that can be set in-game as well. To change the startup parameters, run Steam, in the game library we find Counter Strike: Global Ofensive, then use the game icon right-click (PPM) and go to the properties. Then choose "general" and "game launch options". In the field displayed, enter the appropriate command.

These are all starting parameters, some of them you may know if you are an experienced CS:GO player:

“+fps_max 0” is a console command that pro players use and you can use it as a launch option as well. It removes the FPS cap that is enabled by default. If you have lag the command is for you!

“-nojoy” will remove joystick support from the game, which may free up RAM. When it comes to RAM this is one of the best options.

“-high” will make the CS:GO process higher priority, and therefore, your computer will give resources (RAM, CPU, etc) to CS:GO instead of any other processes that you are running at a lower priority. Use this in your game it may help you solve some of the problems!

“-fullscreen” starts CS:GO in fullscreen mode.

+mat_disable_fancy_blending 1 is a console command, that works to improve FPS by disabling "fancy blending".

“+cl_forcepreload 1”, console command that forces CS:GO to preload all models, sounds, and other files when loading up a map, instead of during the gameplay.

“-limitvsconst” will limit the game's number of vertex shaders to a maximum of 256.

“-forcenovsync” disables VSync which often causes more problems than it solves.

“+r_dynamic 0” is a console command that disables dynamic lighting, which can cause an FPS boost.

“+mat_queue_mode 2” is another console command that players often use as a launch option. It offers an FPS improvement by setting the queue/thread mode for the material system to an asynchronous queued mode.

“-disable_d3d9ex” will disable DirectX 9Ex, but will decrease FPS for most people.

“-r_emulate_g” will make CS:GO emulate OpenGL.

“-softparticlesdefaultoff” will make particles be rendered without feathering (scene depth blending), which can cause an FPS boost but decrease the graphics quality of your game.

“-tickrate [tick rate]” - This launch option sets the tick rate of any server/single player game you run from your client to the number that you replace [tick rate] with ("-tickrate 128" recommended).

“-refresh [refresh rate]” - The -refresh launch option sets the refresh rate of your client: replace [refresh rate] with your desired refresh rate. The refresh rate (in hz) is how many times per second your monitor will update - at 60hz, your monitor is effectively showing 60 frames per second. For 144hz monitors, set this to "-refresh 144" so that your game refreshes 144 times a second.

“-fullscreen” - This launch option forces CS:GO to start in fullscreen mode.

“-windowed” - This launch option forces CS:GO to start in windowed mode.

“-noborder” - This launch option removes the border from windowed mode.

“+exec [file name]” - This launch option will execute all commands a specified file - replace [file name] with the name of the file you wish to execute (e.g. autoexec.cfg). The file should be placed in the "Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg" folder.

“-nopreload” - This command forces models not to be preloaded.

“-nohltv” - This launch options and turns off all Source TV features of your screen.

“-console” - This launch option makes the game start with the console opened.

“-novid” - This launch option makes the game skip the Valve/CS:GO intro video when you can also load it in up - i.e. you'll go straight to the game.

“-threads [amount]” - This launch option sets the number of processor threads that CS:GO will use (e.g. -threads 4 will make CS:GO use 4 threads).

“+violence_hblood 0” - This launch option removes blood from the game. Some players may like it - we don't:)

“-language [language name]” - This launch option makes CS:GO start in the language that you replace [language name] with. What is your language?:)

“-width [width]” - This launch option sets the width of your CS:GO window in pixels.

“-height [height]” - This launch option sets the height of your CS:GO window in pixels.

“-x [position horizontally]” - This launch option sets the position of your CS:GO window on the X axis of your monitor.

“-y [position vertically]” - This launch option sets the position of your CS:GO window on the Y axis of your monitor.

“-autoconfig” - This launch option will force your game to start up with the default configuration settings for the game.

We hope you will take use of the most practical tips that are the key to raise your in game experience! So now it's time to try it in your game! GLHF!
